Our Journey of Faith
Hikola Christian Movement springs from a beautiful weaving of faith, culture, and perseverance. Founder Djenane Lopes Cortez, led by a prophetic word at her seminary celebration, embraced a calling to unite her love for teaching, her Brazilian heritage, and a steadfast trust in Jesus. The vision grew clear while sharing inspiration with fellow Sunday School teachers over a joyful Christmas meal - planting the seed for a movement that would honor God through every mindful breath. After six years filled with lessons, highs and lows, and deepening devotion, Djenane gathered a circle of wise and spirited Christian women to journey together. Today, HCM nurtures a vibrant community where bodies, hearts, and souls gather in Christ-centered practices, moving in gentle flow, and breathing deeply as a loving act of worship. Every moment is a chance to grow closer to our Creator and share that sacred gift with others.
